Yes , planning is pervasiveness in nature because , need of planning at every level of management . Every company manager makes plan and moreover planning is made at international level . Not only India ,


planning exists in every management of this universe . We can explain it that planning at top level is fundamental and CEO makes plans regarding effective utilisation of company resources and at middle level executive makes plans for performing tasks from lower level .



We can explain this feature with simple example



Suppose a company's HR manager wants to train company employee's and he use pervasive feature of planning and contact different training institute and select best institute to train the employees of company . He will see the plus and minus points of each institute and after this he makes plan from where does company employees go for training . He can also see other options and this feature increase his thought for making best plan.

What is the process of man power planning ?

Man power planning is the main duty of HR manager because he is responsible to provide employee when any department needs such employee under required caterion . When HR manager provides employee to that department , he has to follow certain steps before doing such work . We can easily explain all these steps of man power planning in following ways :

1st Step # Determine the objectives of Man power planning

what is the main aim to make man power plan . It must be determined by Hr manager because it is the first step of making good man power planning . Some man power planning are targeted to specific department's employee's recruitment but other may be for whole organisational estimation.

2nd Step # Identification of man power requirement

In second step HR manager identify what is actual number of man power required in different department . There are many cause for requiring of man power . Man power may required due to death , labour turnover , absenteeism or any other reason . So , it is most needed that HR manager should know what is exact nos. of employee required . These estimation or forecasting may take also some time for Proper analysis of each department .

3rd Step # Auditing of present man power position

HR manager should also determine what is the current position of man power in his organisation . This will also helpful for getting clue of future new requirement of employees .

4th Step # Job analysis

This the fourth step in which HR manager makes two statements for getting deep study of employee's profiles and job analysis .

1) Job description

Job description is that statement in which job summery is shown and after reading this HR manager can easily knows what are main rights and duties of employees .

11) Job specification

Job specification is that statement in which all employee's different qualifications are shown . After study of this statement , HR manager can know what qualification is essential for specific post .

Recruitment and selection is also part of the process of man power planning .

6th Step # Identify the employees which needs training

After appointing employees , HR manager makes plans to train all those employees who needs training for gaining the skill of work . So , HR manager identifies all those new employees .

Man power planning is the function of personnel management . It is estimation of future employee of company and company personnel manager makes solid forecast for getting most efficient employee for his company .
